Slise.xyz Q3 2023 Investor Updates: we killed it, guys—1M users crossed, PayPal, MetaMask as clients, UI release
Let's make ads great again
Summary
Hello folks! This quarter has been remarkable from both business and product perspectives. After long back and forth we landed deals with the biggest brands in the industry (and that’s as a 3-month-old product), grew our coverage beyond 1 million users, and built up the whole self-serving interface that will make our life easier and the product more scalable. We also brought in a few new exciting investors and long-term partners leaving us with just 800k of allocation left in this round.
Impressions served: 2.5M+
Unique users reached: 1.1M+
Revenue: $15,000+
Runway: 12+ months
Opportunities to connect: It was nice to meet many of you at Token and KBW, but someone needs to do work as well, so we’ll be taking a break from the events.
Opportunities to help: If you have any portfolio companies who are launching now or looking to acquire users—don’t hesitate to send them our way. Also, we’ll appreciate intros to Web2.5 VCs that are usually less known but tend to catch our idea much faster.
Business & Product highlights
As mentioned earlier, we started working with MetaMask and PayPal as paid clients, scaled our volume to ~3M impressions monthly, and at the same time managed to grow our gross profit margin to 40%. As our business and product mature we are looking closely at optimizing all our processes to shift from MVP to a growing business stage by cutting the noise and amplifying the signal.
The biggest highlight on the product side this quarter is the release of the self-serving interface that will enable users to onboard and create campaigns on their own and once started to maintain full control via campaign management and detailed analytics.
As you might noticed on the screenshot, we started tight integrations with attribution providers such as Spindl, Safary, and Cookie3. This will help us utilize synergies on the business side while distributing responsibilities and focusing on what each of us does best.
Also, we processed our first payouts to publishers and closed the money loop.
Company highlights
The biggest company highlight of this quarter is bringing on board my old co-founder Adi, who is one of the greatest Sales and Marketing people I know and who will be a tremendous asset to the company.
In fact, Adi already worked with us for 3 months as an external consultant, and after all he’s seen he finally made a call to join as a co-founder and CRO to lead our business efforts.
Among other achievements in his banking days, Adi was CEO at Suggestr (YC W22) and founded a 6-figure B2B Marketing Agency helping 13 startups to grow, including 5 companies from YC.
But it doesn’t mean we forget about existing co-founders. Quite the opposite, we try to nurture our relationships, for example, by meeting with our CTO Dmitry in person for a 3-day co-founder team building in Asia and discussing big ideas like our product roadmap and business strategy without the internet lags and blurry video. The more you know: Dmitry used to be a rapper before becoming an engineering mastermind and making 2 exits with him in the CTO role.
We also participated in a very exclusive in-person workshop in Paris, where we were able to meet big Web2 brands like L’Oreal, Lacoste, and PVH (TOMMY HILFIGER and Calvin Klein) to discuss innovation in Web3 marketing space and see how we can help brands in their Web3 journey.
And lastly, Brian Armstrong mentioned onchain ads as one of the top ideas he would work on now! If even Brian thinks so, we can only keep building 💪
That’s all, folks!
Oleksii, CEO
